Charles Walter Armour Jr  1924-2003

Born on  May 1, 1924 he was a son of the late Charles Walter, Sr., and Georgiana Harrington Armour

Charles was 1 of 7 children born 3 boys, Ralph, Robert, 4 girls Greta, Sara, Erma, Esther. 

served in the US Navy from June 4, 1943 until March 2, 1946 with the 82nd Seabees in the South Pacific.He was a VFW Charter Member with Post 7687, Chesapeake City and the UAW Local 1183. 

He owned a concession stand at Port Herman Beach and a grill in Chesapeake City, Maryland

Worked at Chrysler Corporation for 28 years he got to retire in 1987

He enjoyed his family, crabbing playing cards with friends

Charles had a son Charles Ronald Armour in 1954.

They moved to the Homeplace in 1976. 180 old bayview road (where Charles parents built and raised there family) and started there lives together, where they would welcome family far and near on a daily basis and then they would see there grandchildren playing and then Evelyn got to see there great grandchildren play. 

 

 

Evelyn Marie Blevins Armour 1941-2020

Born in Pylesville, MD, on February 12, 1941, she was the daughter  Isaac Spencer Blevins, Sr. and Ola (Pope) Blevins. Evelyn was the last of 8 children to be born in to the family. She had 2 brothers Harold and Issac And 6 sisters, gertha, joy,Margaret, Ruth, Mary 

Charles and Evelyn got married Aug 1st 1964

They had 2 daughters Denise in 1966 and Candace in 1967

Evelyn was a homemaker, she stayed home and raised the 3 children and then helped raise other neices and nephews and then her grandchildren. After her husband Charles passed Evelyn did work as a care taker, she would help take care of the elderly. On Sundays you would catch her at church then rush home to get ready to go to the vfw to listen to bluegrass music. 

Evelyn enjoyed being the hair dresser for family, playing cards gardening and spending time with family. She was also known as a fire bug she loved to sit around a nice fire and talk with friends and family.
